The preparation of chiral polyaniline, PANI, nanofiber is required for both the scientific works and some detailed application cases. This work reviewed recent advances in formation of chiral PANI nanofiber from two caterlogies, the one is based on the new method innovation and the another is based on the use of various dopants. In first part, some unusual interfacial polymerization processes, electrochemical synthesis, chiral complexation, and controlling steric hindrance and self-assembly have been reviewed focused on, and in the second part, the use of sulfate-based dopants, biomaterials, camphorsulfonic acid, polylactide and oligomer were reviewed together with related mechanisms. In this review, the chiral PANI nanofibers with different morphologies and chiroptical properties were also partly discussed accordingly respectively. Additionally, some applications cases for using those chiral PANI nanofibers were briefly mentioned.
