摘要
To reveal the gender dimension of modern politics in the Republic of Tuva and to determine the actual status of women in terms of access to the political decision-making process, the article considers such indicators as the quantitative representation of women in the legislative body of the Republic of Tuva, the gender composition of the leadership, committees, party factions of the Supreme Hural (Parliament) of the Republic of Tuva in a comparative context with similar indicators of the subjects of the Siberian Federal District. In addition, the author has investigated the gender composition of the heads of regional branches of political parties, socio-demographic and socio-professional characteristics of women politicians, and the main channels for recruiting women politicians. The thesis based on the analysis of women participation in the intra-parliamentary distribution of power on the example of the Republic of Tuva and other subjects of the Siberian Federal District is that the sphere of public policy at the regional level from a gender point of view remains predominantly a field of male dominance, where women are a minority both in quantitative terms and in access to political decision-making.
