Nature-based solutions for mitigating the impact of climate change and the effect of the Sahara Desert on Mediterranean agriculture

摘要
Mediterranean agriculture, of great economic, historical and cultural importance and whose varied and excellent productions are the basis of the Mediterranean diet, recognized as "intangible heritage of humanity" since 1910, is facing major challenges as a result of climate change, aggravated by the impact of the Sahara Desert, the hottest desert on our planet. This article analyzes agriculture in 18 countries on the northern, eastern and southern shores of the basin, proposing nature -based measures to mitigate the impact of climate change on agriculture.
