摘要
Three electrical faults of stator inter-turn short circuit fault, phase-to-phase fault and rotor broken bar fault are involved in this paper. The fault diagnosis method based on the motor current signal analysis (MCSA) is employed to identify the faults. Firstly, the fault mechanisms are analyzed, and these three fault injection methods are introduced respectively. Then the three faults are diagnosed by extracting the fault characteristics, where the diagnosis procedure is presented step by step. Finally, the experimental results of an induction motor are presented to validate the proposed fault diagnosis method, which demonstrates that the faults can be detected by the threshold comparison at the characteristic frequencies.
