Layer-mesh-based holograms for fast generation and high-quality reconstruction

摘要
We propose a fast generation method to generate computer-generated holograms for high-quality reconstructions. A complex 3D object composed of meshes is layered along the depth direction as the 3D object is divided into a series of planar layers parallel to the hologram along the optical axis direction. A hologram is generated upon scanning by a structured beam digitally. A hologram derived with the proposed method is referred to as a layer-mesh-based hologram (LMBH). Simulation and optical experimental results are demonstrated to verify the effectiveness of our proposed method.
