摘要
In recent years, the demand to fabricate complicated offshore structure with a wide range of materials such as steels & alloy steel to withstand harsh & corrosive environment offshore is increasing. In present study main focus has been given to investigate the thermos-physical behaviour of SiO2-CaO-CaF2-ZrO2 based electrode coating developed for welding offshore structures. An extreme vertices design methodology has been adopted for formulation of twenty-seven electrode coating combinations for characterization of density, thermal diffusivity, thermal conductivity, specific heat, loss in weight and change in enthalpy. The structural analysis of coatings and their different phases present has been analysed by using XRF, TGA analyser, hot disc, XRD and FTIR techniques. Regression analysis have been studied to see the effect of primary, secondary and ternary ingredients on different thermo-physical properties.
