摘要
Ceria-based nanopowders and ceramics have been prepared and their surfaces were investigated by a set of methods. Depending on the method used: HRTEM-(HAADF-STEM)-EDS, XPS, ICP-MS, SEM-EDS, LDI-TOF, it is possible to estimate the amount of dopants included in the composition of the ceria-containing sample. The method of laser desorption/ionization time of flight (LDI-TOF) mass spectrometry was used to establish the composition of powders and ceramics. Based on structural cationic fragments in the mass spectra, the surface composition was estimated. It is shown that the surface composition according to XPS and LDI data for powders are in good agreement.
