摘要
The electrocatalytic carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO2RR) is an important energy strategy to address thecarboncycle, achieve carbon neutrality, and provide useful energy resources. As a tunable and multifunctional material, metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have been extensively studied in the field of clean energy.Bimetallic MOFs exhibit specific synergistic effects in the presenceof two different metal components, and their CO2RR performanceis superior to that of the corresponding monometallic MOFs, especiallyfor product selectivity. In this minireview, the recent progress ofbimetallic MOFs as CO2RR electrocatalysts is reviewed. The main methods of catalyst synthesis are summarized. Then, fromcatalyst design considerations, the significance of organic ligandsand metal components as well as MOF-derived materials is presented, respectively. To better understand the mechanism of bimetallic MOFsat the CO2RR, the advantages of two metal components arealso mentioned. Finally, the main challenges, gaps, and perspectivesof electrocatalytic CO2RR using bimetallic MOF materialsare highlighted.
