摘要：
This study estimates the impact of non-tariff measures (NTMs) on the hazard rate of trade relationships. A random-effects probit analysis shows that imposing NTMs moderately increases hazard rate but that effects in manufacturing industries vary depending on the nature of NTMs. Non-quality related NTMs lead to a higher hazard rate, while quality-related measures significantly lengthen trade relationships.
