摘要
Detection and discrimination of gases have become important technologies in many fields such as healthcare, mobility, food industry, aerospace, and indoor/outdoor environment control. Accordingly, the demand for easy and fast detection of various gas substances is increasing. In this study, sensing property was improved by modifying carbon nanotube (CNT) with nanosheet-type tin oxide (SnO2). The CNT modified with nanosheet-type tin oxide exhibited superior sensing properties and improved selectivity for ammonia gas compared to the pristine CNT. In addition, the average accuracy of the ammonia gas classification using machine learning algorithm increased from 92% to 98% when the modified sensor was added into the sensor array instead of the pristine CNT sensor. Consequently, CNT modified with nanosheet-type tin oxide improved the accuracy of ammonia gas classification and will be a key material for ammonia gas detection and discrimination.
