摘要
Water consumption during irrigation is a concern, especially for smallscale farmers. Smart watering systems that use sensors have risen as an alternative way that farmers can use to control irrigation processes such as opening and closing valves for irrigation reservoirs. To control the closing and opening of the water valves, smart watering systems measure and check specific parameters such as soil moisture and water levels in irrigation reservoirs. These parameters require that the smart watering systems meet specific requirements. In this paper, we propose and implement a smart watering system that keeps track of soil moisture and irrigation reservoir levels to trigger crop watering when set thresholds are exceeded. Our system uses LoRaWAN to achieve long-range communication. We implement a dashboard to visualise the data collected from soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and light intensity sensors.
