摘要：

The instability of the external environment, which is caused by global problems, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, has focused enterprises on the new challenges to ensure the effectiveness of their functioning. The article analyzes the features of the functioning of enterprises of the future. The issues of directions for the formation and implementation of innovative activities have been resolved. The role of administrative leadership in business is analyzed. The conclusion is made about the need to consider the three components of leadership: territorial, remote, and social. Special attention is focused on the need to adapt to changes in the external environment in the short-term period of innovation planning.
