A design strategy for real-time IoT systems based on Petri net with multi-connection and multi-task

摘要
With the rapid development of internet of things (IoT) technology, more and more application fields require remote real-time monitoring and video transmission services. One of the most important standards in this regard is maintaining a sufficiently high quality of service (QoS). Specifically, in the case of multiple connections and tasks, on-site terminals should also ensure that data packets are transmitted in the shortest possible time to achieve real-time data transmission. To achieve this goal, in addition to infrastructure such as communication network speed, another important aspect is real-time multi-tasking processing. This article proposes a new strategy, which implements the real-time IoT based on Petri net (PR-IoT) under multi-connection and multi-task through parallel design methods. The experimental results show that the real-time performance of this PR-IoT is improved by 15% compared to general smart home systems and environmental monitoring systems, ensuring the real-time performance of IoT systems. The proposed Petri net strategy can be used to design a wide range of real-time IoT systems.
