摘要
The study analyzes the impact of the digital transformation on the performance of Brazilian banks, in the period from 2013 to 2017. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) was used to calculate the efficiency scores of banks with greater representation in total assets and which, at the same time, disclosed initiatives aimed at digital transformation in their reports, namely: Banco do Brasil, Bradesco, Itau and Caixa Economica Federal. Actions aimed at strengthening digital channels were identified and that the most efficient banks were those with less use of conventional channels to carry out transactions with their customers. The banks Bradesco and Itau showed maximum efficiency in 2015 and 2016 and the Banco do Brasil in 2017. Caixa Economica Federal, on the other hand, was not efficient in the years analyzed. This performance analysis helps to improve bank management and, indirectly, society, as they are the main users of these organizations.
