摘要
This paper deals with the problem of house renovation, which is often necessary to improve the value of human existence. The new space-use requirements demanded by new life-styles and changes in family living needs require creating renovation projects, the feasibility of which should be properly assessed. The information about house construction elements required for verifying a project is derived from an IFC file of a building. In order to select and process multiple building elements a dedicated IFC browser application has been developed. This application improves the workflow of the renovation projects and makes accessing relevant information fast and easy. The presented approach is illustrated by an example of changing the spatial arrangement in a single-family house.
