摘要
Poly(silylene arylacetylene) resins have good mechanical properties and excellent heat resistance. In this paper, bis(ethynylphenoxy) diphenylsulfone (BEPS) was synthesized by Williamson and Sonogashira reactions. Furthermore, a series of poly(silylene ethynylenephenoxy diphenylsulfone) (PSEF) resins were synthesized from BEPS and various silanes with different substituents (-H, -CH3, -C6H5, -CH=CH2) through Grignard reagent method. The structures and properties of synthesized resins were characterized. The properties of carbon fiber-reinforced PSEF (T300/PSEF) composites were measured. The results indicate that the PSEF resins demonstrate high mechanical properties with excellent heat resistance and the substituents on the main chain of PSEF resin would slightly affect the thermal properties of the resin, but greatly affect the processing and mechanical properties. The PSEF with phenyl substituent (P-PSEF) shows the best processability and mechanical performance with a T-d5 of 437 degrees C. The T300/P-PSEF composite has a flexural strength of 620.9 MPa at room temperature and no glass transition in the range of rt similar to 450 degrees C. [GRAPHICS] .
