Migration has become one of the most debated phenomena in academic and political spheres in recent years. The diversity of scenarios and conditions that influence its deployment has continuously demanded the enrichment of the theoretical and methodological bases for its analysis. Research on the particularities that the cases of Venezuelan and Cuban migration in this century assume in this sense indicates the need for trans and multi-disciplinary analysis to include geopolitics and geoeconomics for a thorough understanding of them.
