Solution processed Mn2+doped Cs2AgInCl6 lead free double perovskite as a potential light emitting material

摘要
Halide double perovskites sans lead with robust stability have found their niche as active materials in optoelectronic devices. In this work, we report the successful doping of Mn2+ into Cs2AgInCl6 using chemical reflux approach. X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy are used to investigate the structural changes introduced due to doping. Scanning electron microscopic images reveal the morphologies of the Mn2+doped Cs2AgInCl6. Xray photoelectron spectroscopy establishes the presence of Mn2+ in the compounds. Incorporating Mn2+ ions break the parity forbidden transitions in Cs2AgInCl6 and prompted luminescence in the visible at 616 nm corresponding to 4T2 to 6A1transitions.This work reiterates the potential of lead-free double perovskites as non-toxic alternatives for lead halide perovskites.
