摘要:
Textile effluents (TE) represent a major source of water pollution and cause serious health complications globally. Therefore, it is timely requires to develop suitable, cost-effective, and efficient management systems for effluent treatment. This review aims at agro-industrial waste to produce a promising adsorbing material to remove dyes from effluent. The adsorption method emerges to be economically more attractive due to its low-cost, high efficiency, and eco-friendly method for the removal of textile dyes from effluents. Here, globally a large volume of wastes generated from agro-industries its accumulation makes a severe ecological impact. These wastes contain a large amount of lignocellulosic content and can be used as the production of eco-friendly activated carbon. This review highlights activated carbon (AC) production from agro-waste and potential applications in textiles effluent treatment and minimises the aquatic pollutions, waste to wealth approach.
