摘要
The notion of the national-popular is a fundamental theoretical construct to explain the "variegated societies" as Rene Zavaleta called the sociopolitical contexts of Latin America. Our theoretical intervention in this work consists in articulating the notion of the national-popular with the field of political science, particularly with a conceptual map that integrates the discussion of language, politics, and discourse. The objective is to incorporate the national-popular in the field of contemporary political science from the discursive dimension, which explains the constitution of popular political hegemonies in our societies. We emphasize that political science has a deep and rich intellectual tradition in which language is the central point of reflection for political analysis. We conclude that the national-popular is a notion fundamentally of a discursive and historical nature that can enrich the explanatory frameworks of political science that is made and practiced in Latin America.
