Zootheopoetics: Intersections Between Animality, Religion and Literature

The paper offers coordinates towards an intersection of literature, religion elements, and animality, resulting in what we call it zootheopoetics. Guided by the imperative uses of theopoetics term and the main discussions on the emergence of a "field/space" of literary reflection and production - derived from the perception of humanist and anti-humanist thoughts limits - this paper attempts to constitutes an effort to discern the event of animal becoming in zooliterature or animal literature, something which has been called zoopoetics in literary studies. For this task, eventually, an Adilia Lopes poem will be read as a critical experimental in order to derive from it the traits of a zootheopoetics.
