摘要
Information and anti-doping education (ADE) are athletes' rights and their proximity to the Brazilian sports federations (BSF) can aid in the fight against doping. Objectives: to analyze the ADE promoted by the BSF on their websites and social media (WSM) and to verify the relationship among this data, the number of athletes and sanctioned personnel (NSP) and the possibility of medals (PMe) in the last Summer and Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games (OPG) (Tokyo, 2020 and Beijing, 2022). Searches were carried out in WSM of the BSF regarding anti-doping in the last 180 days; on the websites of the World Anti-doping Agency, the Brazilian Authority for Doping Control, and International Federations to quantify all the athletes and personnel sanctioned; and in addition to surveying the results of the last OPG. Results: The BSF offer little ADE on their WSM, of the 41 entities analyzed, 34 (82.9%) did not have the Brazilian Anti-Doping Code for access on their websites; and 21 (51.2%) did not post anything on the subject during the six months of monitoring. The correlation between the available ADE and the NSP or PMe was not evidenced. Conclusion: ADE in Brazil must make great advances and BSF should carry out ADE actions for their athletes.
