摘要
A novel and environmentally friendly electrochemical process is described for the direct C-3 arylation of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones using readily available cyanoaromatics through paired electrolysis. The reaction features excellent atom economy, mild reaction conditions and simple operation (using undivided electrolytic cells at ambient temperature), without the need for oxidants, catalysts, metals, or sacrificial reagents. It offers a practical method of synthesizing 3-arylquinoxalin-2(1H)-one derivatives.
