Multilevel inverters play a significant role in the extraction of electricity from renewable energy sources and the production of high-quality power to the load. This article presents a novel module for low-component asymmetrical multilevel inverters. It generates 25 levels (25-L) via the use of 12 switches and four uneven voltage sources (two 5V(DC) and two 1V(DC)). Additionally, it may be extended in two distinct ways through a cascade connection to reach other levels. The module and cascade connection are ideally suited for usage in a range of DC-source systems, such as solar farms, since they result in a modular design with extra voltage levels at higher voltages. The inherent ability of the proposed module to generate negative voltage levels without the need for an external circuit is one of its primary advantages. By combining level-shifted multilevel pulse-width modulation with a modified triangular carrier wave, a high-quality stepped output voltage waveform with a low switching frequency is generated. The effectiveness of the proposed 25-L inverter is shown experimentally under various load conditions using the specified modulation method.
