摘要
A practical electrochemical method for the synthesis of beta-hydroxyselenides has been developed under an external oxidant-free condition at room temperature under air from alkenes with diselenides and H2O. A radical mechanism is proposed for this transformation and the gram-scale reactions demonstrate the practicability of this reaction.
