This paper proposes a fast distributed economic dispatch method for hybrid ship microgrids. Firstly, for a hybrid ship microgrid with fossil fuel-burning generators and renewable energy generators, the economic dispatch model is constructed with the objective of minimizing the overall cost of power generators. And, an environmental cost function is introduced to reduce the emission of polluting gases and increase the overall proportion of renewable energy generators. Then, a fast distributed algorithm is proposed to solve the optimization problem. Finally, the simulation results show that the method proposed in this paper is able to converge to the new equilibrium faster when dealing with the variation of power generation of photovoltaic panels and is suitable for the hybrid ship microgrid proposed in this paper.
