摘要
The study aimed to analyze the perception of employees of trade companies in Presidente Getulio/SC on leadership, motivation, satisfaction and performance. The sample involved 112 employees. It was observed that both transactional and transformational leadership stood out in companies. Transactional leaders are more focused on results, while transformational leaders are more concerned with the good relationship in the organizational environment. Employees are satisfied with the relationship they have with their superiors and communication, but not completely satisfied with the benefits offered, which suggests that businessmen review how they benefit them. As for motivation, despite having their needs met, they do not feel fully motivated, they feel that their efforts are not being recognized, suggesting that managers review the way they reward their employees. It was observed that labor workers are satisfied with their performance, but do not feel recognized for it. The contribution for companies is that they review the predominant type of leader, as well as analyze possible factors that can motivate and satisfy their employees, since it is believed that satisfied workers can improve individual performance and, consequently, the performance and organizational climate as as a whole, a fact that also impacts the financial return of the organization.
