摘要
This study aimed to establish single and double entry volume tables to estimate volumes of Aleppo pine (Pinus halepensis Mill.) in Algeria's Beni Imloul forest. The data was collected from analyses of 209 stems selected as representative of the different diameter and height classes in the forest. Different linear and non-linear functions were adjusted to the data collected, without and with weighting. The most suitable functions were selected mainly on the basis of their accuracy and the numerical and graphic processing of the residuals obtained. Accuracies of the two weighted non-linear single and double entry functions selected were of the order of 88% and 94% respectively, with residual standard deviations of the order of 0.192 and 0.137 m3. Single and double entry volume tables were simulated using the functions selected, with coefficients of variation of 22% and 16% for the single entry and double entry tables respectively. The more accurate double entry table can be used for final felling, while the single entry table is suitable for silvicultural management operations.
