摘要
The microstructure evolution corresponding to the mechanical properties of cast Al-2Li-2Cu-0.5Mg-0.15Sc-0.1Zr-0.1Ti alloy aged at 175 degrees C was investigated, especially in the identification and variation of the cubic phase. The yield strength and ultimate strength of the peak-aged alloy reach 449 MPa and 502 MPa, respectively. From the transmission electron microscopy characterization, it was found that the precipitates primarily consisted of the cubic phase, T1 (Al2CuLi), S & PRIME;(Al2CuMg), core-shell particles and 6 & PRIME;(Al3Li) phases. Longer exposure to temperature changed the composition from Al6Cu5Li2 to Al6Cu5Mg2, and these two phases are in competition with the T1 and S & PRIME; phases.
