Modeling of an integrated two-stage reflective quantum amplifier

Nonreciprocal devices and quantum-limited parametric amplifiers are necessary for superconducting quantum circuits. These devices have limited performance and are independent from each other, adding losses to superconducting measurement systems. Here, an integrated two-stage reflective quantum amplifier (TRQA) is proposed. The TRQA is a chip-scale device that integrates superconducting circulators, isolators and reflective quantum amplifiers, enabling on-chip routing of microwave signals. The model of TRQA is constructed and simulated. Simulations show that TRQA is a non-reciprocal device and can be utilized as a high-gain amplifier over a certain frequency range. This device is readily integrated with superconducting quantum circuits.
