摘要
The impact of digital finance (DF) on decarbonization is an emerging and hot topic. Based on the panel data of 284 prefecture-level cities in China from 2011 to 2020, this paper investigates the impact of DF on carbon intensity (CI) using spatial econometrics. The results show an inverted Ushaped relationship between DF and CI. DF has a positive spatial externality on CI, which not only has a significant effect on the local CI, but also has a positive effect on the surrounding areas. Finally, the positive effect is more obvious under reasonable financial supervision.
