To Cancel or not to Cancel? When it is necessary to cancel the non-culture

It is the ethical duty of the historian to intervene in order to correct fake news, devoid of scientific rigour and substantiation, originating from the parochialism of local scholars who spread false and bad knowledge not only in mass culture but also in school education. The instrumentalisation of antiquity, which can be placed in a historical context, cannot always be eradicated. However, the scientific community must take it upon itself to verify the accuracy of the historical information disseminated.
