摘要
Multiplexed disease detection has the potential to revolutionize the field of diagnostic medicine by enabling more efficient, accurate, and comprehensive detection and diagnosis of illnesses. Here, we introduce highly sensitive plasmonic sensing platforms with low limit of detection with three different antibodies for three different targets in a single sensing platform. Both monoplexed and multiplexed immunofluorescence bioassays are performed and compared with signal antibodies labeled with Rhodamine Red X, Alexa Fluor 488, and Alexa Fluor 647 based on the well-established enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. In our study, we evaluated the performance of monoplexed and multiplexed bioassays and our findings indicate that the multiplexed bioassays exhibited comparable trends to the monoplexed assays. This verifies that simultaneous detection of biomarkers is a feasible approach, which promises significant advantages in terms of cost, time, and resource efficiency. Furthermore, this approach has the potential to enhance the accuracy and sensitivity of biomarker detection which holds great promise for facilitating early disease diagnosis and effective disease management. Overall, our findings indicate that simultaneous detection of multiple biomarkers on a single platform could be a practical and valuable tool for both clinical and research purposes.
