摘要
In this article, the weight calibration technique maps the measured shear rate and shear stress to give the viscosity (v) of the fluid sample. The viscosity attribute of fluid is significant in fluid rheology. Several devices are used for measuring the viscosity of the fluids in the fluid rheology domain. However, their use is refrained at times due to size, precision, and portability constraints. In this study, as a measure to overcome these adversities, a novel weight-sensing method coupled with a microcontroller device for measuring viscosity is proposed. The model has a load sensor attached to an Arduino Uno. A shear force is created by loading fluids at varying weights on the load cell. This force induces stress inherently, which is reflected as voltage output, proportional to the loaded fluid weight. This is measured by the microcontroller Arduino Uno at fixed time intervals, referred to as shear rate.
