摘要
The current study brings a debate about the teaching of the English Language (EL) in the Quilombola School Education (QSE), in 3 quilombola schools in the Salvaterra city in the Marajoara Amazon. The research analyzed the teaching of EL and its developments in the QSE, allowing to highlight other perspectives for the teaching of the language. Methodologically, the research used Bakhtin's Conception of Language (2003, 2010, 2011) and Applied Linguistics (AL) as an analytical framework. The research results showed that valuing the identity issues of Quilombola students in the QSE's EL classes is still a challenging field in the QSE's proposal.
