摘要
This video essay delves into the multifaceted representation of women's anger, exploring both its subjective and activist dimensions within the science-fiction series The power (2023). The series narrates the emergence of a transformative new power among young women worldwide altering established power dynamics. The primary objective of this essay is to unveil the evolving portrayal of angry women in contemporary audiovisual fiction, challenging the villain stereotype, and the relationship that this change has with the latest feminist movements. The analysis shows the intricate treatment of the ambivalence of rage as power, advocating for the cultural acceptance of women's expression of rage. This acceptance can foster the vital social support and protection that they need.
