摘要
Focusing on the grid-connection issues and the generated regenerative braking energy (RBE) in the traction power supply system (TPSS), this paper proposes an energy storage-based railway power flow controller (ES-RPFC) with partial compensation strategy (PCS) for grid-connection performance improvement and RBE utilization. The relationship of the primary power factor (PF), the two-phase compensated power, and the converters' rating is investigated. On this basis, a PCS is developed to reduce the converters' rating under the premise of satisfying the concerned grid-connection indices. Then, taking the developed PCS into account, a comprehensive power-flow management scheme for ES-RPFC under different operation scenarios is established, and the control strategy of the converter-level controller is given. Finally, the proposal is verified to be feasible and effective by means of both simulation and hardware-in-loop (HIL) experimental results.
