摘要
a linear permanent-magnet synchronous motor (LPMSM) is a specialized electric machine that employs a permanent magnet comprised of rare earth elements to provide a linear motion with a substantial thrust. But LPMSM has a problem with ripple force that makes it harder to control and less accurate at the positioning. This study describes the design of LPMSM, and the suggested design utilises finite element analysis (FEA) to reduce the cogging force significantly. In addition, an NdFeB permanent magnet is used to create the LPMSM. This work examines the effect of varying the number of slots on the cogging force and thrust.
