摘要
St. John's wort (Hypericum perforatum L.) has been known as a medicinal plant since ancient times. Externally, St. John's wort is used for eczema, skin rashes, mastitis, insect bites, sunburn, wound healing disorders of surgical wounds, scar pain and amputation pain. Internal indications are depression, anxiety, nervous restlessness, psychovegetative disorders, but also dyspeptic complaints, colic and intestinal inflammation. St. John's wort has antibacterial, virucidal, antifungal, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antipruritic and wound healing properties. Furthermore, it supports the skin barrier and promotes the regeneration of the upper skin layer.
