Eight taxa, namely Ocotea paniculata var. minor Nees, Phoebe baishyae M.Gangop., P. cooperiana P.C.Kanjilal & Das, P. lummaoensis M.Gangop., P. palghatensis M.Gangop., P. pallida subsp. borii M.Gangop., P. prazeri M.Gangop. and P. wightii Meisn. are reduced to synonymy. Lectotypes of 14 names are also designated.
