摘要
Bocage and other contemporary poets whose work can be considered representative of libertine poetry in Portugal had to deal with the effects of the continuous censorship of their time. A significant part of his work circulated clandestinely or remained unpublished until the 19th century. In this context, the persistence of these texts and the interest they aroused in nineteenth-century poets and editors led to the appearance of some works. In this text, we defend the idea that the Portuguese libertine tradition of the 18th century, in terms of its integration into the Portuguese literary canon, is a product of the literary and editorial dynamics resulting from the triumph of Liberalism.
