The perception of a person, group or community is influenced by lived experiences, individual and social values, knowledge about the phenomenon that causes the risk and the possibilities that he himself has to control the situation. Specifically, those referring to social and individual risk; they relate different theoretical models for their study and take into account the importance of psychological processes. For this reason, social perception studies contribute to revealing the individual's being, knowledge, know-how in his sociocultural practice and uses information, knowledge, dialogue, participation and awareness of society as tools. The objective of this work is to socialize the results of the study carried out in the Cienfuegos communities about the criteria, conceptions and aspects indicated by the population of the Danger, Vulnerability and Risk (PVR) due to rural fires to which they are exposed. For this, a concurrent mixed investigation was carried out, which allowed receiving the discourse and action of the sociocultural actors of the context to prevent, compensate and correct PVR in the community. The methodology and techniques assumed were used for the analysis of the demographic variables and the characterization of the perception (high, medium or low) of the communities according to the results obtai-ned; among which stand out, the low level of knowledge of the inhabitants regarding the causes and consequences of rural fires and the insufficient educational actions that are developed to counteract the problem.
