摘要：

This article presents the constitution of an interinstitutional research network by Associacao Nacional de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensao do Campo de Publicas (the National Association of Teaching, Research, and Extension of the Public Field). It also presents the design and results of the first stage of the research, promoting an exploratory diagnosis of the Public Field in Brazil. The study analyzed 51 educational projects of undergraduate programs in the following dimensions: teaching, research, extension, internship, and profile of graduated students. The study systematizes and presents this experience, and encourages the dialogue and engagement of members of the field (program coordinators, professors, researchers, students, graduates, and practitioners) in a collective effort to understand the field, its configuration and characteristics.
