摘要
The main objective of this article is to analyze the patterns of internal migration to identify its effects at the DAM level of Cuba for the years 2002 and 2012, using the matrices of the Internal Migration Database in Latin America and the Caribbean (MIALC) years. 2002 and 2012. It is noteworthy that the migrant population among the DAM decreased in 2012, going from 2,19% of the population to 1,89%; The persistence of attraction of the capital, which presents the highest rate of immigration in both periods, is maintained. In addition, in the profile of immigrants by sex in 2012 the predominance of women increased, which was already dominant in 2002, preserving the age ranges, but with changes in the educational profile that tend to be similar between both sexes in the 2012, while in 2002 they had more differences.
