摘要
This research has the general objective of studying the development of Public Policies to support Innovation in the state of Tocantins. The study method used to develop the research is exploratory and descriptive and its main procedural instruments are bibliography and documents. With regard to data analysis, this was based on quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results achieved in this research make it possible to build the trajectory of Innovation in the state of Tocantins and demonstrate the programs and amounts spent in the Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) scenario. It was identified, therefore, that the innovative process started late in this state in relation to other states of the federation. However, it has been observed that over the years some actions have contributed to the development of Public Policies for Science, Technology and Innovation, mainly since the enactment of Law n degrees 2458, of July 5, 2011, which allowed the creation of measures to encourage Innovation and Scientific and Technological research in Tocantins, with a view to developing the regional productive system. It is possible to infer that the state of Tocantins still has a long way to go to consolidate itself, according to the best national standards, as an innovative state.
