摘要
We propose a velocity analysis procedure using the signal parameters estimated through spectral recomposition of spectra in seismic traces. This approach employs an inversion procedure to estimate the amplitude, peak frequency, and phase of each wavelet that belongs to the same reflection event. Using these parameters, we estimate the temporal position of each wavelet, thereby defining the shape of the reflection event. Subsequently, our approach employs another inversion scheme to calculate the root mean squared velocity of a reflection event from a specific interface. Our approach aims to improve the characterization of interfaces, particularly those originating from interfaces between the bottom of a salt structure and the top of a carbonate reservoir. As a result, our approach demonstrated accurate results for both conventional and converted reflection events, especially for those from interfaces between the bottom of a salt structure and the top of a carbonate reservoir. The proposed framework presents an interesting means of enhancing seismic data processing in offshore hydrocarbon carbonate reservoirs.
