摘要
Clean soil improves human health. In this study, first the contaminated soil with petroleum derivatives is washed in a mixed reactor and then the adsorption process of benzene and toluene is studied using CuO nanosorbent. In this work, an easy and cost-effective method is used to produce CuO nanosorbent. Diffraction analysis of the synthesized nanoabsorber shows the high purity of the produced samples. The effect of initial concentration of contaminants, contact time and pH on the adsorption efficiency is investigated in this research. Results show that the removal of benzene increases with decreasing initial concentration and increasing pH, respectively. Also, the amount of toluene removal increases with decreasing initial concentration and decreasing pH, respectively. The results show that CuO nanosorbents have a high capacity to adsorb benzene and toluene. The adsorption models of Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin and Dubinin-Radushkevich is evaluated in this study. Experimental results show that the equilibrium data of adsorption of benzene and toluene is consistent with the Langmuir model.
