摘要
Studies related to the spatial dimension of development contribute to solving local problems by promoting the endogenous resources of the locality, while favoring its autonomy and with it the living conditions of society. The purpose of this work is to identify sociodemographic patterns in the population of the Cienfuegos province. The Exploratory Analysis of Spatial Data (AEDE) is used, from the perspective of spatial econometrics, based on variables and indicators associated with population dynamics. The instruments that describe association schemes (spatial autocorrelation) that suggest structures in the geographic space (spatial heterogeneity) were the starting point of the study taking as reference the dependency coefficient for popular councils. Global (Moran's Test I) and local (Moran's Local Test) statistics were obtained. The Global Moran Index was significant, which shows a strong and positive reliance on popular advice. Different types of graphs such as Moran's scatter plot and LISA maps were built as visual support to detect the main spatial effects. The situation in the province where the process of economic dependence has spread to the entire territory in a heterogeneous way is demonstrated.
