摘要
An appropriate way of looking at technology adoption is to consider the intensity of adoption. Adoption intensity of technology therefore is the percentage of land area assigned by a farmer to practice a technology out of the total land holds. This study was carried out in Ogun State, Nigeria (latitude 7 degrees 00'N and longitude 3 degrees 35'E) to determine farmers' adoption intensities. A simple random sampling technique was adopted in the selection of 168 farmers from the study area. Data were analysed using frequency counts, percentages, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. Result shows that intensity of technology adoption was low. Education, and timely availability of inputs to farmers at subsidised price are therefore recommended.
