摘要
The present article aims to highlight the relationship between informational literacy and female empowerment as a focus on the promotion of social justice. As a methodological procedure, it carries out a literature review correlating the topics, information literacy, empowerment and social justice. The results reveal that understanding empowerment in its emancipatory origin is a premise for social justice in gender issues, where the relationship between this process and information literacy is established by means of elements such as: access to information; the use of technologies; self-esteem; self-awareness; awareness; critical thinking; citizenship and political participation. The study concluded that the informational literacy focused on the empowerment of women is centered on action on themselves and on social reality, all of it starting from the development of technical, aesthetic, ethical and political skills, aspects that make their participation viable in the professional, social and political spheres.
